Floodblock uses a range of products as there are many ways water can enter your property. If your doors are safe but the your walls aren’t waterproof, your property is not protected!
Floodwall – Protecting windows, doors, airbricks, boiler flues and gas/electric meter cupboards
Chemical Protection – Preventing water entering through your walls
Plumbing Protection – Making sure that water cannot enter through the drains or overflow pipes etc.
Water Pumps – Removing water if it comes up through your floors or cavity walls
Floodwall – In our opinion the best system
available to stop floodwater coming in through
your doors (standard/patio/garage),
low windows, air bricks or even meter cupboards.
The Floodwall system is made up of 2 parts:
1) A frame that goes round the door or item being protected. This part is available in a range of colours or can be supplied in grey allowing you to paint it in a colour of your choice.
2) A lightweight aluminium cover that attaches to the frame. This part is only fitted when a flood is expected and acts as the barrier to keep the water out. Due to the lightweight and patented interlock system anybody can fit this part in less than a minute. No skills or tools are required to fit the cover. When not in use they can be stored outside, in a garage or in a shed.
Chemical Protection – Just because the water can’t come in through the doors or other openings in your walls, the property is still not safe. If there are any bricks that are cracked or faults in the cement of the wall, then floodwater will still get in. To prevent this happening Floodblock powerwashes the walls before coating them in a chemical that seals against water.
Plumbing Protection – Any property with downstairs toilets or showers is at risk from water coming up through the drains. To prevent this from occurring Floodblock supplies removable seals to use. Several variations are available depending on the plumbing and layout of the property. If the cistern overflow pipe is in the danger zone, fittings are supplied to prevent water entering this way.
Water Pumps – If your property has a wooden floor downstairs, as floodwater levels rise, the water table will also rise bringing water in beneath the floor (the U tube effect). To protect against this water pumps are fitted that will sense the water and automatically pump it out. Depending on the risk of power failure the pumps can run on mains power or 12v (car battery).
